"A Mother Like Me"
Encouragement for moms who have suffered the loss of a child
By Angie Green, Co-Founding Director of Mothers Like Me (Retired)
The loss of a child marks the beginning of a journey through grief or one of crippling pain, sorrow, doubts, perplexities, confusion, anger and despair.
This website is created and maintained by Angie Green (Retired Co-Founding Director of Mothers Like Me Comfort Ministry) for moms who have suffered the loss of a child who desire to connect with "a mom like me" who knows firsthand what it means to stand at the edge of the tomb and learn to live with the loss of a child with hope at the edge of Eternity.
This online connection is designed to "help more moms in more places" make their way through the challenging journey of grief, because the benefit and convenience of modern-day virtual social and group network opportunites makes it possible for us to be connected as a community of moms, even if we can't be together face-to-face.
The Purpose of This On-Line Connection of Moms . . .
To create and encourage a Christ-centered network of grieving moms to express our grief, share our stories of loss and receive and give
comfort, hope and encouragement.
To encourage grieving moms to draw closer to God to experience a deeper level of intimacy, trust and dependency upon Him.
To remember, honor and celebrate our children.
To encourage a network of compassionate women who will comfort others, as they themselves have been comforted.
"We comfort others as we ourselves have been comforted." -II Corinthians 1:4
